Moments at the Museum: DIY Electronics
The Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation works in concert with you!
“DYI Electronics” music workshop for adults and a concert to seal its success.
An innovative project that combines education with performance is organized by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation in the context of the “Moments at the Museum” series. Guided by Dr Nasia Therapontos, participants will create new sounds by crafting and then playing DIY electronic musical instruments. This imaginative initiative is addressed to young people eager to create and stand out in a crowd.
The primary aim of the project is for participants to improvise and play electronic musical instruments and then graph a musical score as a way of enriching a concert.
On the same night after the completion of the project, participants will perform at a concert titled “Fleeing Clarity” featuring clarinetist George Georgiou as soloist and interactive visuals by Dr Theodoros Christoudias.
The event will be an audiovisual performance with improvisation, video projection and live electronics.
