A Drop of 1000 Truths
“A Drop of 1000 Truths” is a cross-cultural jazz project with a new sound conception featuring Hub Hildenbrand (Guitar), Gabriel Karapatakis (Fretless Bass) and Zacharias Spyridakis (Cretan Lyra). The three musicians have encountered each other in their long and exciting travels. Their background knowledge and experience corresponds to configurations that have been affected by and internalized over time in a number of different aesthetic styles. Their chemistry is astounding and their music is decidedly lyrical, accessible in nature and filled with attractive themes, yet reaching some truly exciting, energetic peaks. A unique folk-infused jazz concert, dealing primarily with atmosphere and mood, “A drop of 1000 truths” is organised by The Pharos Arts Foundation with the kind support of the Goethe Institut Zypern.
