Concert for piano four hands by the duo Benzakoum
It is a musical journey in Europe as "Dance" through works for piano for four hands, that are either original or transcribed works. We begin with the north with two Norwegian Dances by Grieg, then move down to Russia with extracts from "The Nutcracker" Ballet by Tchaikovsky and also Rachmaninoff pieces. Then we will travel to the west with Hungarian Dances by Brahms, ending south in both France and Spain with the Spanish Ravel Rapsodie.
Biography
Whether the Duo Benzakoun receives prestigious international prices from 1988 to 1991 in Italy or the United States, whether it performs as a duo in concert (USA, recently the Kennedy Center in Washington and the Chicago Cultural Center, Mexico, England, Banqueting House in London, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Norway, Israel and in France), in concerto with the Orchestra of Tours-Region Centre in Poulenc's Concerto, whether it performs in Spanish musical "Evocation" with soprano Corinne Sertillanges or "theatrical concert" humorously titled: "When Mozart is here”, each of his appearances is an unforgettable musical moment. You can’t mislead the public and the critics: “....Both pianists act as a perfect duo, their main performance being the perfect balance between the sounds and the emotions that emerge “(Ouest-France - 10/01).
Their discography ranges from Brahms to Debussy, and receives the unanimous criticism of the music press. His latest CD "Hungarian Dances" by Brahms will be published in December 2013 by Abeille Musique.
