Earth Hour 2009
The Cyprus Green Party is participating in the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) campaign "Earth Hour", in order to make our fellow citizens aware about climate change. On Saturday 28th of March, we invite the world to turn off the lights from 8.30 to 9.30 pm, in a effort to reduce electricity consumption and thus the pollutants emitted into the atmosphere from its production.
As a symbolic event, we invite members and our friends to gather at 8.15 at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, where at 8.30 we will light our candles and extinguish the lights of the building.
