The performance embraces the musical tradition of Istanbul, Smyrna and Asia Minor. A journey through music,that crosses places and encounters authentic, knowledgeable and creative people.

En Chordais combine virtuoso musicianship with academic study, resulting in truly authentic performances. It is formed by Kyriakos Petras (violin), Kyriakos Kalaitzides (oud), Drosos Koutsokostas (vocals)Alkis Zopoglou (kanonaki) and Petros Papageorgiou(percussion).

The ensemble is at the forefront of Byzantine, Greek traditional and learned Mediterranean music and their contemporary musical processes. They have given performances in various citites including Venice, London, Marseille, Tunis, Cairo, Beirut, Amman and many others. They have collaborated with some of the best ensembles of the ethnic music scene that include the Oriental Ensemble of the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory as well as the Music Ensemble El Hefny of the Hefny Center for Music Studies.
