Eve Achniotou
Kypriaki Gonia gallery in Larnaca presents the 13th art exhibition of Eve Achniotou, from 6th to 20th of October 2010.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the actor Christofer Greco on Wednesday 6th of October at 19.30
The main concept of the exhibition is "olive trees". Eve says: "I like to draw the very old olive trees from a very close distance because I admire the detail and the amazing shapes of the old tree body and branches.
What I also like about olive trees is that they are associated with Mediterranean, especially Greece and Cyprus, part of our history, religion, symbols and myths."
Eve Achniotou was born in the occupied village of Achna and from her early age has shown her love and talent in art. After her graduation from high school she studied Art at “Klimens” School of Athens. Some of the paintings are in private collections, the National Gallery of Cyprus, Associations, Banks, the Municipality of Larnaca, etc.
