Evening Encounters - Nicholas Papachrysostomou
Is not gallery is organising a series of discussions between creative thinkers and the public which will take place every third Thursday of the month. These conversations aim to introduce the audience to exciting designers, bloggers, architects, writers and creative thinkers who will present their work and share their knowledge and experiences.
The first Evening Encounter is taking place on Thursday 18th November 2010 with Nicholas Papachrysostomou who will present his journey around the world, a journey that lasted for 2.300 days and was completed a few months ago. In the course of an “informal” periplus, the audience will have the opportunity to wander around the Himalayas of Asia, submerge themselves in the waters of the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, sail across the Amazon River and traverse the Patagonia of South America, experience the Saharan desert and the Savannah of Africa…
Explorers, monks, craftsmen, adventurers and men of stature will accompany, among others, the audience in this voyage providing them with images and sounds, touches, scents and flavors from five continents through the eyes of the Cypriot wanderer Nicholas Papachrysostomou.
