Festival "Kamomata tzi Aromata"

A festival full of "Kamomata" (tricks) and "Aromata" (perfumes) at Pera Orinis invites you to participate in a unique experience that will mix faces and images, smells and music. The stars in this festival will be the characters of the television series "Kamomata tzi aromata", which, after three successful seasons, are now continuing for the fourth. You will meet them, talk to them, and perhaps even convience them to reveal what will happen this year in "Paradisa".

The two mayors continue their epic fights, often without any reason at all. Rodoula, pretentious as always, gives poor Yiannis a hard time. The coffeshop owner and the grocer are taking marriage under more serious consideration, but the nagging never stops. Marikkous’ secrets are revealed, while Anthousa and Yiassoumis continue to lead their own difficult path. Hambis still lives in his own world with much love and affection. Despina and her perfumes drive the village crazy and the mayors’ wifes do everything they can to keep the villagers in balance. Adrianou and Josephis are confronted with their everyday life and among all of them, the priest of the village and his wife make sure their their presence is felt.

So, if youn wish to live among the villagers for a while, to see the locations where the shootings take place and how they are done, to talk to the screenwriters, the actors and the TV staff, you are welcome to join us at the square of Pera Orinis on Sunday, October 7 at 4.00pm. m. You can participate in parallel activities (4.00pm - 7.30pm) ,which will be held in the traditional village core. Workshops from artists and from community members will take place in the yards of traditional houses . You can attend or engange in activities such as woodwork, clay creations, sewing, educational theater, prints, decoupage, sprig, singing with accordion accompaniment, handicrafts, cosmetics manufacture.

Do not miss the guided tours of the village's "mayors" in the shooting areas. You will have the chance to vote for the most successful village leader. Shortly before the traditional feast ,that will be held in the community square, the result of the elections will be announced. Then the "Adama" music group will present traditional songs and music from Cyprus, Smyrni and the Aegean.

At the festival you will have the chance to meet most of the characters of the Tv series ‘Kamomata tzi Aromata’: Chrysanthos Chrysanthou (Mayor Anastasis), Costas Vichas (Mayor Panais), Popi Avraam (Theonitsa), Sophia Kallis (Μaroula), Zoi Kyprianou (Priest’s wife – Chrystalla), Spyros Georgiou (Papayiorkis), Antri Kyriazi (Christinou), Haris Pissias (Nicolis), Maria Papakosta (Rodoula), Vasilis Charalampous (Yiannis), Julie Gregoriou (Andrianou), Alkis Christou (Josephis), Eleana Papadopoulou (Kokona Despina), Margarita Zachariou (Anthousa), Procopis Agathocleous (Yiakoumis), Nectariios Theodorou (Hambis), Marileni Stavrou (Marikkou).

Organized groups of the community will sell traditional items, food and drink. The event will be held within the framework of the cultural events "Tamassia 2018". Free entrance.
