"Flying Away Art, Music and Dance Festival," & MIX FM proudly presents the 5th annual event, "The Freedom Festival." On the 3rd and 4th of September 2011, at Orfeas Stadium, Nicosia, join us in making a change towards the better and rebuilding our community by bringing people together.

Over 70 exhibitors will display their different art crafts, from jewelry, fashion, paintings, photography, illustra...tion, including live fire shows and much more.

10 of the best local DJ's will be joining us to present their art skills through music on the decks during the 2-day event.

Monday 11th of July. Tragedy knocked on all of our doors.

Lives were lost because of foolish mistakes; mistakes that could have been prevented all along.

Two and a half years ago.

This festival, “The Freedom Festival,” is in many ways a voice for those who we lost, and for those who are still here and cannot be heard. Why should we pay the mistakes of the irresponsible? And why are the irresponsible still authority? Why haven’t they given us an answer yet, a decent one?

If we stop and think about what has been going on through the decades worldwide, we see a domino effect that has affected lives everywhere, without justice, without reason. So many lives have been lost, and for what? Patriotism? Economy? Hate crimes? Genocides? Political Parties? Capitalism?

Regardless the ethnicity or the society any of us come from, the values and norms we’ve been taught through our traditions, at the end of the day, when an inhumane act is done upon someone else, in a time of war, tragedy, disaster, why not show that horror to the rest of the world? This campaign was triggered by these continuous destructive events worldwide that ended up knocking on our door, and entered our society. “The Freedom Festival,” is the start and the voice of not only people in our society, but of people worldwide.

So why do we keep paying for the mistakes of others? Why do we feel like criminals when we’re not? Isn’t it time for the responsible to face justice and finally pay for the damage they have done?

So this is our voice, and a dedication to our loved lost ones, and many more who suffer with them.
