From Canvas to Screen - Book Presentation

Through words and images, artist Maria Christoforou, illustrates how her artwork reflects her attitudes towards life and love. Over the past two decades, she has explored themes such as the circle of life and eternity, as well as dreaming and becoming. The use of digital media in an interactive way provides exciting opportunities for the artist to further explore these ideas.

Confessions from the Artist:
“The current book illustrates both my early and recent works, including paintings, drawings, digital art, video art, animation, mixed media, installations, sculptures and performances. It is also about my venture into digital art, with an overall sense of philosophical analysis. Many images coexist with text, describing my reflections and feelings regarding the work. In a soul-searching journey that stretches far into my conscious and subconscious self, in a space where time ceases to exist, images from my past collide with thoughts of the future producing a new unique entity.”
