Painting Exhibition of George Heracleous
On Saturday 2 March 2013 at 7.30pm an exhibition of George Heracleous will open at Tehnis Dromena Gallery, 53 Arch. Kyprianou Street, Strovolos, Nicosia.
George Heracleous was born in Limassol in 1962. From an early age he showed special interest in painting. He started painting at the age of 15.
He went to London to study chromotherapy, however, due to financial difficulties he didn’t manage to finish his studies. He returned to Cyprus 9 years later and started painting. He created his own exhibition hall (place) in Limassol, where he paints and promotes his work.
George Heracleous started his painting career with human figures, portraits, and landscape, using a realistic technique, with emphasis on the colour and the symbolism of colours.
Today, he is presenting abstract works, in which he focuses on the instinct and the senses, where the amorphous (formless) human figures fade slowly slowly away in a world entirely of his own.
The exhibition will be open until 12 of March and on the following days and hours:
Monday-Friday 10.00-13.00, 17.00-20.00
Saturday 10.00-13.00
