George Kotsonis Painting Exhibition
George Kotsonis exhibits his work, at the gallery Kypriaki Gonia in Larnaca from 10/12/2008 till 10/1/2009 Opening by the Rt. Hon. Mayor of Larnaca Mr. Andreas Moiseos on Wednesday 10 December 2008 at 7.30 p.m.
“George Kotsonis embodies the concept of a contemporary yet classic artist. In his work, European trends and Byzantine influences meet and merge in a creative union, a stylistic osmosis and ingenuity, asserted through dexterity of drawing, balance and perfection in form.
His landscapes and seascapes, his female figures posed in recollection, cintemplation, erotic mystification or maternal ecstasy are worked out in abstract realism, emitting that unparalleled sense of transcendental serenity and tranquility, George Kotsonis’ very personal and substantial mark upon Cypriot art.”
Dr. Nadia Anaxagorou
