Georges Dandin or the Confounded Husband
Theatro Skala presents the comedy of Molière "Georges Dandin or the Confounded Husband" directed by Andreas Melekis.
His second play of 1668, George Dandin, often dismissed as a farce, may be one of Molière’s greatest creations. It centres on a fool, who admits his folly while suggesting that wisdom would not help him because, if things in fact go against us, it is pointless to be wise. As it happens, he is in the right, but he can never prove it. The subject of the play is trivial, the suggestion is limitless; it sketches a new range of comedy altogether.
