Glafkos Kontemeniotis: Dingane
A concert featuring new compositions by the talented Cypriot pianist and composer Glafkos Kontemeniotis whose music weaves jazz, traditional and classical music into a recognisable personal style that brings “crosscultural art” to new heights. Not incidentally, Jazz Review notes that in Kontemeniotis’ music “instantaneous energy freely and synaptically exchanges in milliseconds of anticipation, recognition and elaboration” resulting in “empathy that leads to distinctive cohesion and a unified sound”.
