Gypsy Violins
The virtuoso violinist Tzeki Sulkuqi along with the Egnatia Ensemble take us on a trip with the characteristic gypsy temperament, the passion and the sprit that enthuse audiences across Europe. An adventurous journey that starts from the rhythms of the Czardas and the galloping of the "Dance of the Horse", and continues with the glittering waltzes of the Danube, the pizzicati of the Cossack dances and the melancholy of "Time of the gypsies". Special guests: Yiannis Georgiades and Zisimos F. Soulkoukis.
The concert is part of the four-day closing of the 1st Nicosia International Festival which will take place from 21 to 24 November indoors and outdoors at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. Our closing feast will include street food, five concerts and folk dancing. The street food kiosks will open to the public as follows: Thursday 21 and Friday 22 November 7pm-11pm, Saturday 23 November 5pm-11pm and Sunday 24 November 5pm-9pm.
