Lecture and Workshop by Hanoch Piven
The Embassy of Israel in Cyprus and the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, within the framework of their cultural cooperation, continue for the third consecutive year the organisation of lectures, aiming to build and enhance cultural dialogue, communication and exchange of views and ideas between the two peoples. The 2015 Series of Lectures is organised under the general title “Conversations on Creativity”. World famous artists and animators will reveal and share their unique art methods and skills, through lectures and creative workshops.

Hanoch Piven is an Israeli artist and illustrator, known for his colorful and witty illustrations based on the principles of his own collage technique, which encourages communication and creativity through the use of common found objects. Piven’s art is about communicating through fun and playfulness by reinventing the meaning of regular objects, and by inviting viewer’s active participation.

Piven’s creative workshop applies the principles of his own collage technique, prompting the participants to experiment with common everyday objects and create their own works of art. Apart from being an easy and fun way for anyone to experience creativity, the workshop can be used by educators and art therapists as an efficient tool for communicating through play.
