History of European and Russian Art
We are glad to offer a new series of lectures on history of European and Russian art from Natalia Ignatova – an art historian, guide and founder of the project for promotion of art and online gallery Sixdaysart.com (Moscow).
Our course on styles and genres of world art will give you tools to understand main genres of art and stages of its development, will allow you to systematize your knowledge and will serve as a solid foundation for further research on this infinitely deep subject.
The series consists of 3 lectures on history of styles and genres of European art and 2 lectures on history of Russian art.
All lectures are conducted in the Russian language.
The lectures will take place in the comfortable premises of the conference centre Synergy Foundation Ίδρυμα Μελέτης & Έρευνας located at Odos Lykavou, Limassol.
Schedule of the lectures:
1) 22 February 2019, 19.00 – 21.00. Styles and genres of painting from X century until the end of XIX century.
2) 23 February 2019, 16.00 – 18.00. New European art of XVII – XIX centuries.
3) 23 February 2019, 18.30 – 20.30. Avant-garde: art of XX century.
4) 24 February 2019, 16.00 – 18.00. History of development of Russian art as illustrated by masterpieces of the State Tretyakov Gallery (part 1): from the times of Peter the Great to the search of romantic ideals by Bryullov, Aivazovsky and many others (XVIII – beginning of XIX century).
5) 24 February 2019, 18.30 – 20.30. History of development of Russian art as illustrated by masterpieces of the State Tretyakov Gallery (part 2): from realism of the Peredvizhniki (the Itinerants) until the Russian impressionism (2nd part of XIX century – XX century).
Ticket price for any lecture – 12 EUR;
Ticket price for all 5 lectures – 50 EUR.
