I.D KATH+ODON - ECO in SITE

The Figurative Project “Kath' Odon – ECO-inSite” which is presented by the Pegasus Art Foundation, intends to come up with subjects for discussion concerning the relationship between Installation / Interaction and the Viewer / Wayfarer as well as with the Ancient monuments as a surrounding environment. The sparse placement of these installations around the Ancient historical monuments of Pafos, the course of this alignment as an evidence of an aesthetic action coming from the historical centre of the Heroon Square (Plateia Heroon) in Limassol, along with the documenting of this event, it's a part of the 'conversation' between the viewers and the exhibits. A conversation between spectacles and explorers. A conversation about the interpretation of these Proposals and the mutation and transition of the viewer's / wayfarer's identity.

The Pegasus Art Foundation visualises the enhancement of our cultural identity and therefore response, towards the sensitization of modern man to embrace the environmental issues and provide the appropriate attention and action. This historical retrospection has began with the 1st exhibition of the group “KATH' ODOS” ( ΚΑΘΟΔΟΣ ), which founded in 1990 and acted in ancient historical places, in the Tombs of the Kings and in the forest of AKAMAS Peninsula.

KATH' ODOS expressed through installations, constructions, outdoor landscape configuration using natural materials expressing modern concerns about the damage of the Natural Environment.
Afterwards, the proposal KATH' ODON is being exhibited by the group “ECO-inSITE with which concludes the Figurative Platform “I.D. EURO” started in May 2012. This expressive action has set the culture at the centre of the meet point to discuss about the sculpting and the reformation of the European Identity.
