Impressions From A Mediterranean Island
An Exhibition of 140 photographs taken over an 18 month exploration of the whole of the island of Cyprus. From The Akamas Peninsual to Ayia Napa Monastery, Peaceful Paphos Harbour to Nicosia City Centre. The exhibition includes landscapes, wildlife, architecture, art and portraits of people, both young and old. The Exhibition follows on from the book of the same name which was published last year and was very positively received in the media, described as "Stunning", "Spectacular", "Amazing", "Beautiful". James Blake is a UK/Cyprus based photographer and some of his photographs are currently being used by the CTO. A very special cultural exhibition of contemporary life on the island - and not to be missed.
Previously James has travelled all around England, Central & Eastern Europe, The Balkans, The Mediterranean, The Middle East, North Africa, North & Central America and New Zealand in pursuit of his love of photography. Previous to photography James studied documentary film making at the BFI, London, film directing at the Brighton Film School, Public Media, Communications & Cultural Studies at Trinity & All Saints College, Leeds University and Fine Art Sculpture at the West Wales School of Art. James spent his childhood in Malta and Dubai, with visits to South East Asia, Europe and Scandinavia.
