At the mid point of her DasArts Master of Theatre course Eleana presents her new work, ‘in a nutshell’, a piece that came out of research on gender, identity and sexuality. A work on the personal, a personal work, an attempt to embrace and expose thoughts and needs that we might all potentially share. A performance that crafts text and language, breath and tongue. A piece that deconstructs craft with sincerity and joy. She shares, she’s intimate, she’s awkward and all-inviting.

Eleana (1986) graduated from a dance and choreography degree at Bath Spa University, UK in 2009. She is now attending the DasArts Master of Theatre program at the Amsterdam School of Arts, NL. She has been working as a performer since 2004 and making her own work since 2011. A close collaborator of Lia Haraki, Dance House Lemesos and Centre of Performing Arts MITOS. Her work, ‘In Wonder(?) Land’, was presented at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival 2013 and the Operaestate B-Motion Festival 2013 in Italy. With Arianna Marcoulides and Eva Korae she created bytheway productions, a dance, theatre and applied arts company.
