In The Light - Alter Ego
The Transcendental Theatre Workshops Group will be presenting poems from the collection entitled "In The Light" by Alter Ego. Alter Ego is the pseudonym of an individual who has struggled for years with gender dysphoria, (a disorder with which there is a conflict between a person's physical gender and the gender he or she identifies as.) The poetry collection originated from Alter Ego’s journal. Through these same notes, a playscript was also created, written by Korina Kontaxaki and Eleni Cosma of Theatro Transcendental. The script was selected by THOC’S “PLAY’’ program for staging by the Cyprus National Theatre in September 2014.
