Indignados
Loosely based on Indignez-vous! (Time For Outrage), an essay by Stéphane Hessel, Indignados is a fictional account in real time of what's happening today, plunging us into the dense, palpable reality of Europe in revolt. At the center of the Occupy movement, we discover, through the eyes and experience of Betty, a young illegal alien from Africa, men and women standing up to the system. Stéphane Hessel's Time for Outrage! sparked a transgenerational awakening that is gaining ground across Europe as it teeters on social implosion. Betty confronts this reality through her journey and her encounters with people coming together in solidarity, in a Europe seeking its lost compassion as it tries to place human values back at the center of the system.
