Interactive video-projections (seminar)
The Cyprus Centre of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (CY.C.S.TA.T.) in collaboration with the Theatrical Organization of Cyprus (TH.O.C.) and the Plymouth State University (USA) organizes a fourth-day seminar led by the accomplished American theatre designer, lighting designer and video artist Mr. Matt Kizer by the subject matter: Interactive video-projections within the areas of theatre, dance and performing arts.

Cost of the fees: 60 euros (for the entire fourth-day seminar)
40 euros for students and members of the CY.C.S.TA.T.
The fourth-day seminar will have a continuous character and will cover both practical and theoretical subject matters in the English language.
The seminar responds to a range of professionals within the area of art and design such as scenographers, theatre designers, lighting designers, artists, video designers, directors, actors, dancers, theatre technicians, theatre architects, digital artists, animators, multimedia artists, performers, performance artists, students of art and design, students of dramatic arts, students of multimedia, design and technology.

The content ideas that will be discussed and further analyzed both practically and theoretically are the following:
- The history of projections on stage.
- The basics of projectors.
- Designing scenery with screens incorporated into it.
- Rear-projection (black, white, grey surfaces)

- Some unusual things that you can do with projections

- Controlling the projectors
- Using multiple projectors together
- Tracking performers on stage/ mapping projections
Biography - Matt Kizer
Matt Kizer lives with his wife and son in the White Mountains of New Hampshire (USA). He is the resident scenic and lighting designer for Plymouth State University, where he has been the head of the design and technology program since 1996.
He designs for theatre and dance companies, tours, and colleges in many parts of the Unites States. He serves as a regular designer for Auburn University in Alabama.
He served as faculty lighting designer for Opera festival Di Roma in Italy, where he designed lighting for L'elisir di amore and The Magic Flute, both produced with the Orchestra Sinfonica dell' International Chamber Ensemble at Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza in central Rome. He has designed for dance and movement in Potsdam, Germany at T-Werk in Schiffbauergasse with A-Fortiorni.
He holds a BA in Theatre from Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne (1992), and an MFA in Design from The Ohio State University (1995). He serves on the International Activities Committee for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology.
