IntuNition

Lia Haraki’s IntuNition practise will be the first series of workshops to begin the educational programme PRAXIS of the artistic structure .pelma. Lia Haraki at the Theatro Polis OPAP in 2020. PRAXIS will be a series of educational actions hosting workshops, seminars and lectures by various artists and art specialists, to be shared with the community.

The IntuNition Practise:
The body in the ‘IntuNition’ practise is treated as a vessel of information and knowledge which can be embodied in space and time through movement and vocal sound. With a series of meditation techniques as well as guided movement and voice improvisations, the artist will lead a process in which participants may physicalize their own creative flow. In IntuNition there is no right or wrong way to embody movement but only various keys which given through specific directions, may unlock new possibilities of exploring and developing more actions.

Its story
The IntuNition practise begun to develop through the movement research of the solo ‘Tune In’ by Lia Haraki back in 2013. Eventually the research was structured into a methodology and Lia has been teaching it in the form of a workshop together with her sister Evi Haraki Mahera who was mentoring Lia during the making of the solo. The workshop was taught in various places including Nicosia, Limassol, Cologne, Venice, Thessaloniki, Prague.

When and where: Every Wednesday as of March 4th, 19:00-21:00 at Theatro Polis OPAP

Price: Monthly €40 or €12 per workshop (10% reduction to pelma members)

Who can join: Any one (all ages, all professions, all genders) who feels like exploring their body as a creative tool and become physically aligned with their physical abilities/possibilities.
