2011 IRC Cyprus Rally

The Cyprus Rally is back… and better than ever!

The curtain closer on this year’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season, the event once again sees the crème de la crème of the world’s driving talent arrive in the eastern Mediterranean to do battle for victory in the Cyprus sun.

Organised by the Cyprus Automobile Association, the two-day Cyprus Rally enjoys a change of venue for 2011, moving to the west coast resort of Paphos.

The change in venue also brings with it a whole new line-up of special stages… but rest assured they’ll provide the traditional Cyprus Rally test of man and machine, with guaranteed fantastic footage and spectating opportunities. Once again, Cyprus will serve up a medley of mixed surface stages that will send crews into the heart of the island’s stunning countryside.

Eurosport – the major sports station – has selected the Cyprus rally for a number of live special stage broadcasts which will be transmitted internationally to rally fans.

Taking place immediately after the Cyprus Rally on Sunday 6th November, the single-day, single-stage 2011 Cyprus Golden Stage Rally will see drivers go head to head for their share of a massive €150,000 prize fund.
