Οn the 21st of December Louvana Records released the album “The Age of Now” by J.Kriste, Master of Disguise. The CD consists of 12 songs. With an imaginative use of electric, electronic, traditional and orchestral instruments, and unique vocal performances, the compositions and arrangements bear the ability to transport the listener to an out-of-time, dreamy experience that takes place in a world where borders and musical genres fade. In an age where nothing is certain, Moumtzis, seeks the things that really matter and creates his own musical world, made from feelings of love toward the human being and its nature. This new work is attempting to contemplate on the inner fermentations of man against the complexity of today's society. More specifically, the songs on the album deal with the dual aspect that is imposed on us through globalisaion, that is: the sad realy of decentralisation/alienation of people and societies from their fundamental cores of existence (place of birth e.t.c.) on one hand, and, on the other hand, the opportunities that globalisation offers, such as the productive interaction with other human beings and other societies.
This is the third release by J.Kriste, Master of Disguise. Previous releases are “This is the alternative” (2005) and “Girls, Ghosts and Gods” (2009). It was recorded and mixed at eleven63 studio in Lefkosia, Cyprus by Andreas Trachonitis with assistant engineer Mikaela Tsangari. It was mastered by Mike Hartung in Oslo, Norway. Besides Moumtzis the following musicians are performing: Mario Michael, Pavlos Michaelides, Andreas Trachonitis, Fotis Siotas and Kostas Pantelis (Sancho 003), Sofia Efklidou, Stelios Romaliadis (Luup), Eleftheria Daoultzi, Demetris Yiasemides, Harris Lambrakis, Colin Somervell (Trio Tekke), Dave DeRose (Electric Jalaba, Moloko), James Adams and more.
