Jazz Quartet

Live from Greece Marios Toumbas on piano with Charis Ioannou on alto sax, Irenaeos Koullouras on contrabass and Ioannis Vafeas on drums

A few words on pianist Marios Toumbas:Holder of a Bachelor of Music, cum laude (Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA) and a Master of Music with Honours (New England Conservatory of Music, Boston MA). He performed live at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Canada, Krakow Jazz Festival, Poland, at the Jazz and Blues North City Festival, Serbia, at the Royal Festival Hall of London, the Sun City Music Hall of Johannesburg and many others.

Irenaeos Koullouras on contrabass is also a Berkely graduate and got his degree being a student of the world known bass player Ron Carter. His unique style of playing enabled him to be part of great bands like the Thoedosi Spassov quartet, Haris Alexiou and many others. Worked along with Cypriot loutist Evagoras Karayiorgis, Avishai Cohen, Ofer Ganor, Gilad Atzmon and others.
