The kaleidoscope: How many fit inside me?
"The kaleidoscope: How many fit inside me?" is an experiential workshop for children (aged 9-12) where theatre games will be used as the means to explore theatrical expression, group communication and personal creativity. Drawing ispiration from everyday life a well as the ancient tradition of storytelling, children will learn the basic steps towards creating a performance using their body, voice and imagination.
They will also be encouraged to embody different imaginative characters using the basic techniques of improvisation. Finally the children will create a handicraft to remember the story they have enacted during the two-day workshop.
Rosa Prodromou has been working professionaly in the theatre as an actress and performer since 2002 and as a workshop facilitator since 2007. Her work focuses on theatre games, principally aiming at awakening the psychological awareness of children as well as their creativity and expressivity.
The workshop is part of FIRST ATTEMPT, a 3-day art project by Among the Ants planned for Larnaca with the support of the municipality and in collaboration with local arts and educational institutions. FIRST ATTEMPT will take place on 12th – 14th October with activities for audiences of all ages, including artists’ meetings, live performances & workshops for children and adults.

Price: 30 euros per child (for 2 siblings, 50 euros)
