Kids University - Little Jules Verne

Within the framework of the Kids University, the ARTos Foundation is organizing for the 7th consecutive year, its 4-day workshop on the 9, 10, 11 and 12 of April 2012 and is calling children from 7-11 years old on a magical journey of knowledge, adventure and creation!

The aim of Kids University is to establish free thinkers, citizens with a critical view and creative initiative. The children are involved in scientific and artistic experiences, in order to develop their creativity as well as to form the “culture of the researcher”. Through alternative knowledge (non formal education) it is possible to deal with scientific issues in a creative way and artistic issues in a scientific way.

In the upcoming Kids University the children will engage in creative activities and group games as to devise their own original story, as well as have the opportunity to dramatize, use simple props and costumes in an effort to come in contact with the multileveled process of a theatre experience!

In a safe environment, where the main objective is to promote the values of mutual respect, team spirit, openness to dialogue, the children give shape to their imagination in composing stories inspired by the modern world, the planets, the arts and mythical characters!

*The children can be at ARTos from 7:30 until 14:30 and engage in creative activities with the instructors.
