Kids University - "The Sky is the Limit"

The ARTos Foundation presents the Kids University entitled “The Sky is the Limit” which will take place over the Christmas period. Through a series of specially designed participatory activities addressed to children aged 7-12, the Kids University aims to promote unique knowledge and experience leading to the creation of strong personalities and free thinking people with critical judgement, creative thought and confidence.

During the Kids University, in a safe environment where the main objective is to promote values of mutual respect, team spirit and open dialogue, the children will have the opportunity through theatre, play, art, music and the use of interactive technology to create their own world, where through exploration and experimentation nothing is impossible.

We probably need to cultivate in children the elements that make us human. Kids University is a workshop for curious and charismatic children, which has been taking place at the ARTos Foundation since 2005 with great success. Every Christmas, Easter and summer, educators and professionals from the fields of the arts, sciences and even philosophy, create a specially designed programme where children have the opportunity to develop both brain hemispheres: the creative hemisphere and the logical hemisphere, as to be able to envision and materialize their dreams through creative expression, scientific knowledge as well as the strengthening of self-confidence. The citizens of tomorrow with these characteristics can communicate, coexist harmoniously and can create a world that takes the humankind one step further.

30 & 31 December 2013 and 2 & 3 January 2014 from 8:00 – 13:00*
*The children can be at ARTos from 7:30 until 14:30 and engage in creative activities with the instructors.

All children will receive an attendance certificate upon completion of the workshop.
