Klimt's motifs
Educational workshop for children ages 6-12 years old
The new periodical exhibition of the Museum presents the artist Kyriaki Phili, whose work is inspired by famous works of art history. Hence, we select our favourite artwork entitled Baby (Cradle) by Gustav Klimt as an inspiration to create a collage of fabrics. The children, by participating in the workshop which is held in two slots, will suggest their very own motifs, enthused by the ones of Klimt, which resemble swirling lines, strange squares and bumpy circles. The collage will compose the quilt for the baby sleeping in the cradle.
