Knowledge: From antiquity to today
Lecture entitled "Knowledge: From antiquity to today", will take place at the University of Cyprus on Tuesday, 29th of January at 18:00 (Old Campus, Main Auditorium Hall, Kallipoleos 75).
Professor Athanasios Fokas, Chairman in Nonlinear Mathematical Science at the University of Cambridge, UK, will give his speech focusing on the accomplishments of neuroscience in answering the question of knowledge acquisition. Is a priori knowledge possible? Or is the human brain a "tabula rasa", as Aristotle supported?
