Kouyiouka Watermill Folkloric Event
Kouyiouka Watermill is an innovative Agrotouristic project that combines unique scarce and fascinating features, located strategically 3km after the Yiolou village, on the main provincial B7 road that connects Paphos to Polis. There, a traditional horizontal waterwheel type watermill is renovated in a 3 level structure. In these premises, a Cultural & Folkloric Multicenter devoted to the salvation of the Cypriot traditions and to the promotion of the agrotouristic ideas has been established. The Multicenter consists of the Coffee Shop, the Kouyiouka Restaurant, the Workshop of Traditional products (where, daily, small quantities of traditional bakery & cheese products are produced in accordance to the traditional recipes and methodology), the Cellar of Cypriot Wines and finally the Kouyiouka Museum (devoted to the Cypriot Watermill’s significance as well as Bread, Wine & Olive Oil).
On the Saturday and Sunday 31/07 & 01/08/10, we organize a Traditional & Folkloric Event. The main event will take place on Saturday 7pm under the aegis of Mr. Eliades, Minister of Agriculture, Natural resources and Environment.
