Larnaca Flood Festival 2019 (Kataklysmos)
The Larnaka celebration of Kataklysmos is the biggest on the island, and sees the entire Foinikoudes promenade utilised, from stalls along the strip and games on the sand, to a rich programme of performances across its two stages. The event includes a traditional bazaar along the length of the promenade, traditional demonstrations, food, drink, water-based ctivities and competitions, and a programme of premium cultural performances. Kataklysmos is included in the UNESCO National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
This year the festival takes place from the 14th until the 19th of June.
The highlight of the festival are concerts by popular singers from Greece and Cyprus such as Katerina Kouka, Stelios Dionysiou, Nikos Makropoulos, Giorgos Sampanis, Stan, Stella Georgiadou, Kostas Hadjichristodoulou, Petros Kouloumis, Elena Andreou, Annita Konstantinou and Pantelis Ionas.
