A few words about the magazine:
A few months ago, an Art Magazine has been released on the island. The multimedia magazine, Straw Dogs as it’s called, deals mainly with young local emerging artists by giving them step to present their own work and talk about what they face nowadays in the art fields as well. Inline, the magazine presents some established artists, Cypriots and foreigners, intending to combine the different generations. Besides, it hopes to foster an artistic culture away from egocentric and self- centered artistic groups, to fill in the gap of a good-quality magazine of arts here in the island and furthermore to create an open network of people who are interested in artistic expression. The first issue includes and starts work with poetry, prose, photography, painting, graphic design, music and Cyprus’ Archive. Regarding this last, we have the honor of hosting an article, written by Mr. Titos Kolotas, researcher of Limassol. The magazine’s first issue is already out while the second one is coming really soon too. Those who are interested to find more about the magazine, its identity and its distribution places, they can visit our blog and our facebook page as well.
