Legion Run

Legion Run is a 5km obstacle race that welcomes and challenges people from all fitness levels and abilities, due to its non-competitive character. For one day only, on Saturday March 29, adventure-seeking individuals and teams will head to Larnaca to conquer at least 18 obstacles of mud, fire and barbed wire. After completing the physical and mental challenges, participants will celebrate their accomplishments alongside friends and family with live music, food, beer, fun games and competitions.

The Cyprus event is the premiere event for Legion Run and will start the 2014 season off before moving on to seven more countries and eight cities across Southern and Eastern Europe. Over 3 million people have participated in such events, in the past three years around the world. Legion Run is the first opportunity for people in this region of the world to participate in an obstacle race at their own, or a nearby country and Cyprus has its turn on the 29th of March 2014.

We are convinced that Legion Run will be one of the top five days in the lives of those who will participate”.

The obstacle course is spread over 5km and participants test mind and body by jumping over fire, climbing high walls, crawling through mud under barbed wire and jumping into pools of ice and water. Up to five hundred runners start at once, every 30 minutes starting at 10:00 with the last wave at 15:30.

The festival area is large and comprises of a big stage with live bands, DJs, stage acts, stage contests and festival games such as a sky rope- climb and mud tug of war.

Legion Run is more than just a run or an event. It's an experience of a lifetime. Everyone participates for a different reason but they finish all the same; “changed". This isn't a race and the only prize to win is Pride. Legion Run is about overcoming personal challenges and the thrill of proving to yourself you CAN. But most of all, it's about getting out there and having FUN again.
