Leonce und Lena
The German speaking theatre group Κυπροmödie of the University of Cyprus under the guidance of DAAD lecturer Andrea Schuster presents the comedy by Georg Büchner “Leonce and Lena” (in German with Greek surtitles) on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th May 2014 at 7.30 pm in the Goethe-Institut Nicosia hall (in the UN buffer zone next to Ledra Palace Hotel). Admission is free!
Leonce will be the future king of the Popo empire. He leads a very boring life and melancholy is his daily companion. When he comes to know that he should marry princess Lena of the neighbouring empire of Pipi, he flees with his friend Valerio to Italy. There he meets a lovely young woman he falls in love with – Lena. A meeting of two young people, who did not search for each other but met – by chance or providence?
