Live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera of New York, with another big production. A rare opportunity to watch Francesca Zambello’s acclaimed 2003 production of Berlioz’s Trojan War epic returns. Starring Marcello Giordani in the central role of Aeneas, Deborah Voigt in the role of Cassandra and Susan Graham makes her Met role debut as Dido, Queen of Carthage. Direction is of Maria Bjørnson, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by James F. Ingalls and choreography by Doug Varone.
The Chief Conductor of MET Fabio Luisi conducts the orchestra.
