Let Me Be Your World, Songs by Manos Hadjidakis

Under the guidance of established artists Thodoros Kotepanos (orchestration and accompaniment on the piano) and Maria Thoidou (repertoire selection and vocal coaching) the Group for Vocal Expression and the Small Instrumental Ensemble of the University of Thessaly approach the timeless work of Manos Hadjidakis in a concert featuring songs by the great Greek composer, which was prepared during a training seminar for students from all university departments.

The Music Ensembles of the University of Thessaly were established in 2006 and provide an opportunity for students and members of the university community to meet and study music together in an effort to enrich the programme of events within the university with concerts, publications and cultural exchange initiatives. Since their establishment, the Music Ensembles have performed in more than 80 musical events in the university and beyond. Their repertoire includes traditional music, rebetiko, Greek and foreign songs, classical and contemporary music, and brings together students with different musical interests.
