Limassol Wine Festival 2016

The Limassol Municipality organized this year, for the 55th time, the Limassol Wine Festival from August 25th to September 4th, 2016.

Limassol is celebrating and is inviting you to the opening of the Wine Festival. During the inauguration, the Festival will be fully operating like other days.

• Limassol Municipality Philharmonic Orchestra
• Address by the Mayor of Limassol
• Official Opening of the Wine Festival by the Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr Yiorgos Lakkotrypis
• Cypriot dances by the “Dionysus” Cultural and Dancing Group of Limassol
• Wine songs by Michalis Tterlikkas and his music group “Moussa”

The “Trip to Silence – Cypriot Sign Language” Club presents a theatrical play in sign language.

The world-renowned Cypriot magicians Andreas and Nikolas Liotatis present a magic show.

The “Dionysus” theatre presents the Cypriot comedy “Made in Cyprus”.

Wednesday 31/08/2016
Evi Kapatai will be performing both Greek and Cypriot songs. “New Horizons” Cultural Club will also be participating.

Wine songs by the “Georgalettoi” choir with the soloist Thanos Polydoras.

A music show with wine serenades and other songs by the Admitos Pitsillides band.

The Satirical Theatre presents the new comedy of Andreas Koukkides.

The world-renowned Cypriot magicians Andreas and Nikos Liotatis present a magic show.

Revival of the ancient Wine Festivals to celebrate the mythical God of merriment, Dionysus, and his companions “Dionysies”. “Dionysies” will be there to take a picture and dance with them.

WINE TASTING
Wine tasting from 8.00p.m. – 10.00p.m. at all the wineries located in the Wine Festival.

A big parking space located on the Municipal Garden Theatre’s eastern side is provided free of charge by the Limassol Municipality (Pafilia plot)
