The little pony
The Theater Group Persona presents the new play of the Spanish playwright Paco Bezerra "The little pony".
The play deals with bullying at school and the way that this phenomenon is dealt with by the family and the educational system.
The "Little Pony" is based on real events and is dedicated by the author himself to two children, Michael Morones and Grayson Bruce, who in 2014 were the victims of bullying.
Michael Morones, 11, was found hanging from his bunk bed in 2014 after he finally cracked under the pressure of his pre-teen tormentors at school who bullied him over his love of “My Little Pony”, an entertainment franchise which is marketed primarily to girls.
Grayson Bruce, 9, was not allowed to wear his My Little Pony backpack because it was a “trigger for bullying.” Grayson had been facing verbal and physical attacks from tormentors who called the backpack “girly.”
