Louis Yiannapis - In the footsteps of Basquiat
The Collection Gallery will be showcasing the artworks of Louis Yiannapis in the exhibition entitled “In the footsteps of Basquiat”. The opening night will be on Tuesday, 4th of April 2017 at 7:30 pm.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Mrs Anna Stefanidis.
Following in the footsteps of Jean-Michel Basquiat, with his intense technique and explosive colour, Louis Yiannappis creates his characters and figures and depicts a world of chaos and spontaneity.
With a background of working with children raised in institutions for the past 14 years, the artist’s work is influenced by the authenticity of children’s art.
The artistic style that classifies his work is the New CO.BR.A Movement.
The art exhibition will remain open to the public from the 4th until the 29th of April 2017.
