The Magic Pillows
A play by Eugenios Trivizas.
In the land of the tyrant king Arpatilaos, a new law has passed: Sundays, birthday parties, childish joy, and even hiccups are forbidden! Everyone is to work day and night to fill the king’s treasury with diamonds. The king’s evil advisor, Savrilios, plots to destroy the one thing the people have left – their dreams – with his new invention: “Nightmare Pillows”. In this effort however, he is met by a secret resistance – a classroom of children led by their schoolteacher, who have a plan of their own to reverse the evil spell.
A fairytale production by a group of 9-11 yr olds, portraying the vital message that whatever the world becomes, it is the dreams of children that will save us, leading us to a better future.
