Manolis Pappos
Manolis Pappos is one of the most important composers and bouzouki players of the last 50 years, with more than 800 compositions to date. He is well known for his collaborations with Greek and international artists like Theodorakis, Xarhakos, Arvanitaki, Galani, Ntalaras, Papazoglou, Malamas, Tsaligopoulou, Peridis, Ioannidis and Loreena Mckennitt, Vinicio Capossela, Ross Dally, Nasheer Shama, Michel Hatzigeorgiou and many others. Two of his compositions have been used by John Williams in the soundtrack for 2005 Steven Spielberg film "Munich". Since 2006, we are used to seeing him on Greek National TV, where every Sunday he directs the orchestra of the show "Kyriakatiko Trapezi". He is the perfect example of the Greek virtuous player: he experiments with a great number of string instruments such as bouzouki, outi, madolino, tzouras, baglamas and many others from the Mediterranean, Africa and Asia.
