To Marazi tis Fotoulas
“To Marazi tis Fotoulas” or in translation “Fotoula’s grief” is an original Cypriot rock Band, which was formed in 1990.
Their songs deal with ordinary subjects such as work and love. Their “hit” is «Εσυρα το μήλο» (I threw the apple), a traditional Cypriot song transformed into a groovy melody.
They brought out their first 12’’ single by “All records” label. It is the first record to be made in Cyprus that can be compared to a debut single by a British band on a UK independent label. The E.P was sold out and now is collective item.
The group was split in 1993 but their members continued to be musically active in different bands.
After 24 years the group is reunified and is ready to get on stage.
Members of the band:
Pan Meraklis: vocals, Electric guitar
Maik Zachariades: bass
Constantinos Evaggelides: trumpet, violin
Andros Kyriacou: Electric Guitar
Mario G: drums
