Marina Yerali - The Anthracite Line
The Centre of Contemporary Art Diatopos presents the solo exhibition of Marina Yerali entitles "The Anthracite Line" from the 13th of January until the 10th of February 2012.
Yerali's current work is a series of ink drawings that depict the eco-system of an imaginative biome of herbivorous and carnivorous species and vegetation. It portrays a surreal fertile growth between species that evolve parallel and generate a hybrid environment.
The process of the actual drawing begins with an idea of a line or shape and then it proceeds directly based in intense repetitiveness and without any sketches to a full-sized drawing.
