A Marriage Proposal
Berlin music theatre, Cabaret Lori, presents farce play by Anton Chekhov "A Marriage Proposal". A young man comes to the daughter of his neighbor to propose her, but has a fight with his future bride instead, over a plot of land, called Ox Meadows.
The performance has an unusual genre: it combines opera, ballet and drama.
Actors sing live opera parties to music composed by famous Russian musician, Sergey Nikitin, with lyrics written by famous bard Dmitry Sukharev.
Participants:
Gennady Tkachenko-Papizh is an artist with a unique voice, awarded in various international competitions. He was the finalist of the contest Supertalent in 2014. He is especially known for his participation in the films Named baron, Hobby.
Svetlana Luchko is an actress, choreographer and theatre teacher. She worked at the State drama and musical theatres in Moscow, Estonia, Germany such as Schmidt's Tivoli (Hamburg), Chameleon (Berlin), Batman Show (New York), Milady de winter (Paris). She received the best actress award at the Festival Melekhovo in 2016.
Vadim Grakovsky is a theatre and film actor, director and theatre teacher. Laureate of international festivals and competitions, he received the best actor award at the international theatre festival in Sofia.
The play is the winner of the 8th International Theatre Festival 2016, Chekhov festival Melikhovskaya Vesna 2017 and the 19th International forum of Chekhov in Badenweiler (Germany).
