Martin Metzger - Kitzbühel travels to Cyprus
Coming from the alpine region of Kitzbühel and its surroundings, the Austrian painter Martin Metzger has over the years made a name for himself as a highly skilled landscape painter. The upcoming exhibition entitled "Kitzbühel travels to Cyprus" will thus bring a flair of one of the most beautiful regions of Austria to Aphrodite's island.
The exhibition will be opened on February 10, at 7.30 p.m. by the Mayor of Nicosia, H.E. Eleni Mavrou, at the cultural center "The Mills" in Kaimakli/Nicosia, a Cocktail Reception (with real Austrian Schnaps!) will follow.
Also, on Friday, February 11, from 4.00 until 7.00 pm, Martin Metzger will host an art workshop for children aged 15 and under. Anyone interested in participating should contact Ms. Maria Stylianou at the Embassy of Austria at Maria.Stylianou(at)bmeia.gv.at by February 4 at the latest.
Some of the paintings of Martin Metzger will be available for purchase, thus offering a unique chance "to own a small piece of Austria"!
