Michael Messios Symmetry Band
The Michael Messios Symmetry Band returns on Windcraft’s stage with new original compositions, shortly before their performance in maybe the most famous jazz club of Berlin. The band consists of Charis Ioannou (saxophone), Marios Toumbas (piano), Michael Messios (double bass) and Ioannis Vafeas (drums) and has performed in numerous local and international festivals, bringing the art of improvisation on stage with incredible artistry. Michael Messios’ more recent compositions can be characterized as contemporary jazz compositions with strong influences from traditional jazz. In the music, one can recognize strong melodies, along with complex rhythms and harmony. The variety of rhythms and styles keep the listener’s interest throughout the concert.
