A Midsummer Night's Dream
Open Arts presents a comedy by William Shakespeare “A Midsummer Night's Dream”.
An evening in May, a dream comes to life in a garden and invites you to an immersive performance where the story unfolds around you and its up to you to choose where to go and what to see.
From a Secret Admirer,
If you begun reading this letter, this means that you are not asleep nor dreaming... Read it in full attention until the end. Let's begin... In order to enter my world first you have to dare... Do you dare? Do not rush to answer, just pay attention to this... Where curious creatures come to life, where smells and colours fuse together, where some build castles, where children play, where rain falls, you will meet me there... Between the wind and the sun, the rain and the rainbow... I am inviting you to the biggest wedding... a great celebration at the palace... Theseus and Hippolyta are getting married... they don't want gifts, they just want you there... The festivities will last 10 days... Remember those numbers... 17 - 28... amongst the aroma’s of May..... You have never been to such a wedding... Trust me... the best people will be there....Who are they?... Come to find out...Wear simple shoes, especially you dear lady, it is not the time for your high heals... Just get in the car and let Strovolos Avenue to lead you all the way to Kronou Street at 8:30 pm.... Leave your keys and bags behind and come forward...You might not see me there... But I will be in front of you, behind you, next to you and on top of you.. And if all these seem strange to you, wait and see... If you just woke up and all this seems like a dream, do not be frightened... A dream is not what you see when you sleep... A dream is what you experience when your eyes are open, your hands are tied ... and your thoughts wrapped in something strange.....So, close your eyes and imagine me like you want... If I am like you imagined me, you’ll find out only when you get there... I shall be waiting...
